ABOUT THORLEIF HAUGS MINNELøP

Thorleif Haugs Minneløp is part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit with a 50-kilometer race in classic technique on February 1, 2025, at Finnemarka, Norway.

Thorleif Haugs Minneløp is a long-distance skiing event, taking place in idyllic Finnemarka between Drammen, Lier, and Modum since 1966.

The event honors the Norwegian ski legend Thorleif Haug, celebrating 100 years since he won three gold medals in the first Winter Olympic Games in Chamonix, France, in 1924.

Thorleif Haugs Memorial Race was first hosted in 1966, and on February 3, 2024, the Local Organizing Committee introduced a new memorial course (tested in 2023). The new course is located in some of the most beautiful surroundings in Finnemarka, outside Drammen, Norway. The location was Hauern’s backyard, literally, where he trained more or less every day.
