Ski Classics goes to Switzerland for the sixth event of Season XV. Expect an action-packed Pro Tour event with the renowned Engadin La Diagonela.
On Saturday, January 20, the spotlight falls on Engadin La Diagonela, a demanding 55-kilometer-long race held in the breathtaking Engadin Valley. Renowned as Switzerland’s premier classic technique competition, this event marks the sixth event of Season XV.
Engadin La Diagonela has been an important part of the Ski Classics Pro Tour since its inception in Season IV, and organizers proudly emphasize three key elements that set Engadin La Diagonela apart: stunning landscapes, high altitude exceeding 1.800 meters above sea level, and an unparalleled atmosphere.
“The Engadin Valley is for sure one of the most beautiful venues of the Alps. I think the athletes are eager to attack this tactical and demanding race at high altitudes with high energy,” says Ski Classics Sport Director Anton Karlsson.
Visitors to the region will discover an extensive network of groomed tracks stretching over 220 kilometers, transforming the valley into an idyllic retreat for pre- and post-events. Furthermore, the Engadin Valley’s enchanting glamor is amplified by its stunning glaciers, showcasing nature’s remarkable splendor.
The Engadin Valley, renowned for its majestic panoramas, sun-soaked days, and picturesque towns, displays a unique ambiance that captures the region’s essence.
