Elin Mohlin, Lager 157 Ski Team, has decided to end her career. Årefjällsloppet this Saturday, where she finished in tenth place, became her last race. Her best placement in the Pro Tour was fourth at Toblach-Cortina this winter.
Season XI became Mohlin's best in Visma Ski Classics with seven top ten placements.
Mohlin did three seasons in Visma Ski Classics after she previously made several World Cup starts for Sweden. The biggest success before her long distance skiing career was when she won the sprint relay at the pre-Olympics in Pyeongchang 2017, together with Maria Nordström.
"The most fun years as a skier, I dare to say, are the last, and that is thanks to Lager 157 Ski Team. Cross-country skiing is an individual sport, but it doesn't feel like that in this Pro team. I'm grateful that I've been a part of the team. The work we have done together and how we have developed each other, and how much fun we have had together. It has become like a second family for me," Mohlin writes on her Instagram.
"Now begins a new part in life, which feels both exciting and scary at the same time," Mohlin writes further.
