Petter Eliassen, Team Ragde Eiendom, showed great form on Tuesday when he won a 30 km race in classic technique. Eliassen won with a big margin ahead of Norwegian national team athlete Finn Hågen Krogh and teammate Andreas Nygaard.
Eliassen told us a couple of days before the race that he would double pole the race, but in a film sequence from the competition, we have been able to see that he skied with kick wax and that Nygaard followed him double poling.
Petter won the race in Alta, in the north of Norway, one minute and twelve seconds ahead of Norwegian national team athlete Finn Hågen Krogh. Andreas Nygaard was 4 seconds behind Krogh.
The result indicates that Eliassen can be counted on directly in the season XI opening in Switzerland and that Nygaard may need a race or two to get in top shape.
