Petter Eliassen, Team Ragde Eiendom, moves up to first position in the SC ranking, the global ranking system for long distance skiers, after Marcialonga. Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel of Norway, is still second, and Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Nordic Athlete, drops from first to the third position.
After finishing fifth at Marcialonga Petter Eliassen climbs from sixth to the first position in the SC Ranking. Eliassen now has 29,467,942 points. Gjerdalen in second place has 29,176,729 and Eide Pedersen 28,996,429 in third position.
In the top ten, we see two athletes climbing in the ranking. Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, goes from 7th to 5th after her victory in Marcialonga. Oskar Kardin, Team Ragde Eiendom, continues to climb in and is now in 10th position after his 4th place in Marcialonga.
Athletes moving upwards in the top 30 is the following: Marcus Johansson, Lager 157 Ski Team, from 16th to 12th place, Max Novak, Team Ramudden, 17th to 15th, Andreas Holmberg, Lager 157 Ski Team, 19th to 18th, Ari Luusua, Vltava Fund Ski Team, 23rd to 19th, Magnus Vesterheim, Team Kaffebryggeriet, 22nd to 20th.
Notably, the Pro tour's oldest gentlemen, 48-year-old Anders Aukland, Team Ragde Eiendom, goes from 26th to 21th, and 47-year-old Stanislav Řezáč, Slavia Pojistovna Sports Team, climbs from 29th to 25th.
Moving up in the top 30 is also Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, 28th to 26th, and Runar Skaug Mathisen, Team Parkettpartner Sjusjøen, 30th to 28th.
In the top 100, it’s mostly small changes in the ranking, but for example, Maxim Vylegshanin, Russian Winter Team, moves from 68th to 61th after finishing 10th at Marcialonga. Thomas Ødegaarden, Team XPND Fuel of Norway, steps up from 93rd to 83rd and Olga Tsareva, Russian Winter Team, from 99th to 87th.
Four athletes moving in top 100: Herman Paus, Team Ramudden (107-93), Gabriel Höjlind, Team Engcon (109-94), Francesco Ferrari, Sottozero Trentino Team Zorzi Max (102-95) and Arnaud du Pasquier, Team Féclaz Formation (110-98).
The SC Ranking is open for all participants in all Visma Ski Classics event, Pro Tour and Challengers. The SC ranking is open for both professional and recreational skiers, including all age groups, gender, and performance levels.
