The Czech Pro Team eD System Silvini Team headed to the sunny Engadin valley for their early snow training camp. However, the whole team was not able to travel due to positive Covid-19 test results.
“We are now training on the famous La Diagonela tracks, and there’s not that much time left before the season premiere in Orsa. The tracks are well-prepared here, but unfortunately our most successful team members Jiří Pliska and Karolína Grohová had to stay in the Czech Republic because they got tested positive. It hit us in the worst possible time as all of us have been improving their performance levels towards the first races,” the team director Marek Pazderský says with a concerned tone in his voice.
Marek is still uncertain whether his best skiers can participate in the first races of the season, but he is now putting his faith on the other members of the team.
“We have to trust that the rest of the team can take over and rise to the occasion with their heads held high. The good news is that we have a new service truck that is big enough for our needs. Thanks to our sponsors for that.”
eD System Silvini Team is currently ranked as the 14th best Pro Team, and they are eager to get closer to the top-10 in Season XII. Marek hopes that they can overcome the setback and be ready to fight for the title of the best Czech Pro Team in Visma Ski Classics.
