Finlandia-hiihto continued today when the 50 km FIS Worldloppet Cup skating race took place in Lahti, Finland. E-Liberty Ski Team's French pro skiers performed really well taking home second, third and fourth places, but the victory stayed in Finland as Juha Mikkonen was the fastest in the sprint finish.
Damien Tarantola, Loic Guigonnet and Gerard Agnellet were the skiers behind the victorious Finn, respectively. Kari Varis, who has won Finlandia-hiihto the record 11 times, was sixth nine seconds behind the winner. Bastien Poirrier, Team Jobstation Rossignol, was fifth. Maria Gräfnings, Team ParkettPartner, was the best female skier beating Sini Alusniemi from Finland by 34 seconds. Klara Moravcova was third.
