Summit 2 Senja on Sunday, April 2, will end Ski Classics Season XIV. Five Pro Team Directors have been nominated for the award of Best Pro Team Director of the Season.
The award recognizes Pro Team Directors with extraordinary directorial skills, unwavering dedication, and unconditional love for long-distance skiing, working in the right way to develop Ski Classics.
“We want to highlight the hard work and dedication required to bring a Pro Team together. Being a Pro Team Director is hard work often unseen, and the person needs to have and develop skills within Sport, Human Relations as well as Commercial. The Pro Team Directors play a very important role in our ecosystem, not only as the central function of the Pro Team but also for Ski Classics and the development of our sport,” says David Nilsson, Ski Classics CEO.
The Pro Team Director who receives the award is automatically elected to the Ski Classics Hall of Fame, together with the Ski Classics Legends, the athletes who have won five events or more. The winner will be announced after the season’s final event Summit 2 Senja, on Sunday, April 2.

Arnt Nyborg – Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso
Arnt Nyborg is a highly skilled Pro Team Director who manages not only one but is involved in two teams: Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso and YC Rør Sjusjøen Ski Team. Nyborg’s exceptional leadership skills are evident in the success of his teams. He strongly focuses on youth development and has successfully attracted international Pro Tour athletes.
Oskar Svärd – Team Eksjöhus
Oskar Svärd runs a Pro Team that has achieved excellent performances in a short time, being a newly established team. He has remarkable professionalism in managing the team and is committed to his athletes’ success. Oskar’s dedication and hard work play an important role in making Team Eksjöhus one of the top contenders in the Ski Classics Pro Tour.
Marek Pazderský – eD system Silvini Team
Marek Pazderský lead the Czech Pro Team eD system Silvini Team. His dedication and commitment to his Pro Team are remarkable. Marek is the Pro Team Director that has been doing the job longer than no other, already managing the team, bearing the same name, since the second season of Ski Classics. He shows great passion for the sport and is an important ambassador in a key market of xc-skiing.
Maxime Grenard – Team Nordic Expérience
Maxime Grenard is a Pro Team Director focused on the long-term development of his Pro Team and Pro Team athletes. He has put France on the Ski Classics map by helping his athletes achieve excellent race results. His dedication to the sport and his team has significantly influenced their success.
Bruno Debertolis – Team Robinson Trentino
Bruno Debertolis is an experienced Pro Team Director widely recognized for his dedication to the sport. Bruno has built a diverse Pro Team in Team Robinson Trentino, with athletes from different nationalities, reflecting his inclusive approach. Through his steadfast commitment to the team and athletes, he has become a highly respected Pro Team Director in the long-distance skiing community.
Next up is Reistadløpet on April 1 and Summit 2 Senja on April 2. The events mark the 13th and 14th Ski Classics stages and the final weekend of Season XIV.
The Season XIV of Ski Classics Pro Tour consists of 14 events on 10 event weekends in 6 different countries.
