The first stage of the 160km Ski Classics Challengers event, Arctic Circle Race, took place this Friday with a 52km long-distance race in classic technique in Sisimiut, Greenland. Get to know the first-day winners.
After a full day of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event Arctic Circle Race saw Martin Møller, Rossignol, and Nivi Geisler, Inuplan Ski Team, win their respective stage 1 races.
Arctic Circle Race – Stage 1 – Men’s Race
In the men’s race, the winner of stage 1 was Martin Møller, Rossignol, completing the race in a time of 3:25:53.0.
Michal Francke, TRI CLUB Jablonec, finished in second place, 14:53.0 behind the winner, followed by Anton Berggreen Abrahamsen, Arctic Star ApS, completing the podium in the third position and 35:13.0 back.

Arctic Circle Race – Stage 1 – Women’s Race
In the women’s competition, the winner was Nivi Geisler, Inuplan Ski Team, with a total time of 4:16:33.0.
Mathilde Le Moullec, NSP, finished in second place, with a time of 3:50.0 behind the winner, followed by Sasja Hendriksen Joelsen, SSP/Arctic Circle Race, 18:22.0 back, and completing the podium in the third position.

As the Arctic Circle Race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
