The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Årefjällsloppet 45 took place today with a reduced 38km race in classic technique in Vålådalen, Sweden.
At the end of the day, the Visma Ski Classics Challengers event saw Alicia Persson, Stockvik SF, and Joel Andersson, IFK Mora SK, win the race with outstanding performances.
In the women’s race, Alicia Persson, Stockvik SF, won ahead of Alba Björnsdotter, Järpens SK, in second place. Lisa Hallberg, Strängnäs Malmby ol, completed the podium in the third position.
In the men’s competition, the winner was Joel Andersson, IFK Mora SK, followed by Théo Deswazière, Team Nordique Expérience – Coste & Crédit Agricole Franche-Comté, in second place, and Erik Melin Söderström, Östersunds SK, in the third position.
As Årefjällsloppet 45 is a Visma Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
