The Tiera Taivalkoski–Syöte Challenger will be held in a month. The 40km roller skiing event in classic technique will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in Taivalkoski, Finland.
On Sunday, July 5, the 40km Tiera Taivalkoski–Syöte Challenger will take place in Taivalkoski, Finland, running from the Tiera hotel to the summit of Iso-Syöte, Finland’s southernmost fell.
Now in its third edition, the event this year carries Finnish Championship status. The course covers one of the most demanding road sections in Finland, offering skiers a true summer fitness test on classic roller skiing technique.
“It is great to organize a roller skiing competition also at the Finnish Championship level. In addition to the adult series, we will organize separate Finnish Championship series for veterans and juniors,” says the chairman of the organizing committee, Matti Tyni.
The Taivalkoski Trail Run cross-country running competition will also be organized on the same weekend, creating a sports weekend in Taivalkoski in connection with the traditional Päätalo week.
