The Ski Classics Challengers event, Botniavasan, scheduled for March 14 in Vörå, Finland, has been canceled due to adverse weather and snow conditions.
Botniavasan is a long-distance ski race held around Vörå, Finland. The event was first held in 2006 and is normally organized in February each year. Due to the lack of snow this winter, the event was postponed to March 14, 2026. However, due to continued adverse weather and snow conditions, the event has now been canceled for 2026.
According to a press release from the Local Organizing Committee, the 2026 edition of Botniavasan will not take place:
“Spring arrived a bit too early this year. We are forced to cancel Botniavasan on March 14, 2026. All registered participants will be contacted by email.
We are now aiming for 2027.”
