Kobberløpet is part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit, featuring a long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Norway. The next edition is scheduled to take place on April 11, 2026.
Kobberløpet is a long-distance skiing event taking place in Sulitjelma, Norway, and has been organized for over 50 years. The 43km classic event joined the Ski Classics Challengers circuit once again for the upcoming edition on April 11, 2026.
The Local Organizing Committee is pleased:
“Being part of Ski Classics gives us the opportunity to put Sulitjelma, Fauske, Salten, and Kobberløpet on the map for cross-country skiing enthusiasts worldwide. We look forward to offering a unique experience for both elite skiers and recreational participants from near and far,” says Kobberløpet’s Managing Director Mona Mosti, and adds:
“We warmly welcome everyone to participate and experience this historic race in a new format.”
Kobberløpet has been a staple event in Sulitjelma since 1968, and with this Ski Classics Challengers partnership, the event joins an international series that attracts some of the world’s best long-distance skiers. Participation in Ski Classics not only elevates the level of competition but also increases the event's exposure nationally and internationally.
