More and more long distance ski events join the Visma Ski Classics Challengers concept.
The newest addition is Trysil-Knut rennet, a race in the deep forest of Søre Osen in Norway with a 60-year history. The 40 km classic technique race is starting and finishing at the community center of Søre Osen and the track takes you through breathtaking sceneries.
For its 60th anniversary, Trysil-Knut rennet becomes part of Visma Ski Classics Challengers and aims to attract even more participants than in past years.
“The reason we want to be a part of Visma Ski Classics Challengers is that we believe this will increase the size and professionalism of the event. It will hopefully make us more attractive to sponsors as the Visma Ski Classics concept is well known. We are sure that Trysil-Knut rennet, with its long tradition and history, holds the same values that Visma Ski Classics stands for,” says Ingar Kristiansen, Event Director.
Trysil-Knut rennet has a status as an official seeding race for Vasaloppet and Birkebeinerrennet and suits especially well as preparation for Birkebeinerrennet as the profile is strikingly similar.
