The Visma Ski Classics podcast Orsa2Levi will chat with Team Ramudden’s Max Novak, who has dominated the summer season. Max has five consecutive roller-ski race victories under his belt, and he feels very confident about his chances this upcoming winter season.
“Now I know that I can win races, and it has given me a lot of confidence. I have improved my technique, and I can rely on that when racing. I was disappointed in my overall performance last year, but I feel much better now,” Max says on the podcast.
Max injured himself this spring and broke two ribs, and he had to take some time off from training. He was able to bounce back and started training in June. Then, he pushed really hard throughout the summer, about 25 hours per week, and managed to get in great shape for the roller-ski racing season in August and September.
“I didn’t really have easy weeks in the summer. I train a lot on roller-skis, but I have changed my routine a bit as I sometimes have two sessions a day. I usually do my long session in the morning, and then in the afternoon, I can go out for an easy bike ride. I don’t do strength training at all, and not much running either.”
You will learn more about Max’s training, goals and roller-skiing on tomorrow’s podcast. Max will also reveal some personal things about himself. Orsa2Levi is available on all possible podcast platforms and on the Visma Ski Classics website.
