The Norwegian outfit Team Ragde Eiendom has used Mallorca, Spain, as their regular fall training camp site for years, and this fall made no exception. Their 10-day session started on October 20, and they stayed in a private house in Campos making their own food. According to Magnar Dalen, the director of the Aukland Brothers’ squad, that type of arrangement always works the best as everyone stays under the same roof, which builds a strong team spirit and fortifies social togetherness.
The weather was fine throughout the camp, about 20-24 C, except on the first days when it rained a bit. All athletes were able to train well and stayed healthy. Their days were devoted mostly to roller-skiing and some running and strength training.
“Our athletes are tired now as they should be after a camp like this,” Magnar describes his team situation at the moment. “But they are all happy and in good shape. The girls have improved a lot over the summer period, and it will be exciting to see what they can achieve when the season kicks off.”
The Pro Team will have a break allowing everyone to go home and rest a little before they move to Beitostølen, Norway, for snow training. They will also participate in some short distance races while there. Magnar is confident that his team will be prepared and ready to fight for podium places when the action begins in Livigno, Italy, at the end of next month.
