Team Koteng’s Chris André Jespersen showed great shape when he finished 5th in the men’s 15 km in free technic on Sunday in Beitostølen, Norway. Chris teammate Emilie Fleten finished 13th in the women’s 10 km race.
Jespersen was 43 seconds behind the winner, 50 km world champion Hans Christer Holund. Several Pro Team athletes attended the race. Just over two minutes behind the winner came Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Nordic Athlete (35), Petter Eliassen, Team Ragde Eiendom (36) and Team Kaffebryggeriets Vetle Thyli (39) and Magnus Vesterheim (42).
In the women’s competition, Therese Johaug won again. As we said before, Therese has opened up about skiing in Visma Ski Classics at the end of season XI. Emilie Fleten finished 13th, about two minutes behind. Anniken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Ragde Eiendom, finished 23rd.
At the same time in Bruksvallarna, Sweden, there were races in free technique as well. In these races, many of the Pro Team athletes compared their shape against the short distance specialists.
It was a close fight between Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, Linn Sömskar, Team Nordic Athlete, and also Team Ramuddens Jenny Larsson and Lina Korsgren. They finished around 2.20 minutes behind the winner, Frida Karlsson, in place 16, 17, 18 and 19.
Hedda Bångman, Team Nordic Athlete and Sofie Elebro, Team Parkettpartner Sjusjøen finished 32nd and 34th. On the men’s side Andreas Holmberg, Lager 157 Ski Team 26, Johannes Eklöf, Team Ramudden 29 and Gilberto Panisi, Team Robinson Trentino 36. The winner of the men’s race was William Poromaa.
