This Pro Team hails from Germany, and the squad has been around for a long time. This international team is ranked 29th in the Pro Team ranking. The team wants to promote cross-country skiing, particularly long-distance skiing, in their home country and inspire young athletes to find their way into the sport of Nordic skiing.
xc-ski.de A|N Skimarathon Team has 10 Pro Team athletes, three women and seven men. Jonathan Goeppert still races in the youth category, and Max Kagerbauer is the team's Cub participant. These skiers come from various countries in Europe, and their passion for the sport is undeniable.
"We are the first German professional long-distance ski team, founded in 2012 by Mario Felgenhauer, who is the Head of xc-ski.de, and Thomas Freimuth, a former skier and the head of A|N ausdauernetzwerk.de. Our team has consisted of athletes from e.g. Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, and Austria. We all share the same passion and love for long-distance skiing," says the Pro Team Director Sabine Freimuth.
