Ski Classics

This Swedish Pro Team has been within Ski Classics for many years and is an important part of the Pro Tour. Team Ramudden secured the 2nd position in the Pro Team ranking during Season XV and is now gearing up for another thrilling winter season ahead.

In anticipation of the upcoming Ski Classics Season XVI, Team Ramudden presented a roster of youthful and experienced Pro Team athletes from Sweden, Norway, and France.

"The Team name comes from the main sponsor 'Ramudden,' which is the World's leading company in work zone safety. As the sponsor, the Team aims for dominance and success. With developing new talents together with experience in a relaxed but professional environment, the Team has had multiple greatness through the years," says the Pro Team Director Gustaf Korsgren.

For Season XVI, the Swedish squad is bringing eleven Pro Team athletes, five women and six men, including three Cubs skiers: Emilie Fleten (1992), Ida Palmberg (1999), Julie Kvale Stostad (1998), Tova Andersson (2004), Emmi Nyberg (2004), Amund Riege (2000), Herman Paus (2000), Alfred Buskqvist (1996), Anton Persson (1995), Thomas Joly (1998), and Hjalmar Oscarsson (2004).

Team Ramudden's shining star is Emilie Fleten who won the Champion competition. Overall, she has become an event winner eight times, and it is expected that there will be many more wins for her in the years to come. She was on the podium in every race last season, and she will fiercely defend her Champion title.

Ida Palmberg and Julie Kvale Stostad can both be top-10 skiers, and the latter performed well at Alliansloppet this summer where she was second. These two skiers aim to take a step closer to the podium this winter while Tova Andersson and Emmi Nyberg will work on honing their skills as long distance skiers.

The six male skiers in the team are all very strong. Amund Riege was among the 10 best finishers in five races, and he started the season by being second at Bad Gastein Criterium. Herman Paus won La Venosta ITT, but the rest of the season did not go as planned for him since his 12th place at Reistadlopet turned out to be the best result after his victory.

Alfred Buskqvist was second in the Sprint competition, and he will most likely focus on that competition this winter as well. He was 7th at Bad Gastein Criterium and 15th at Marcialonga. Anton Persson raced only Gronklitt ITT last season where he finished as the 34th fastest male skier, and Hjalmar Oscarsson has not yet participated in any Pro Tour race.

Thomas Joly, from France, will fight tooth and nail to become the best Central-European skier in Ski Classics, and his best result was 12th at 3 Zinnen Ski-Marathon. His goal is to become a regular face in the top-10 club, and the upcoming season can be the one that makes him one of the best skiers in the circuit.

Team Ramudden is a powerful unit with experience, youthful vigor, and a craving for great success. They will stay close to the top and will fight for excellent results in the upcoming winter season.
