Team Edux comes from Finland, and there are many experienced long distance skiers in the team.
Niko Koskela won Tartu Maraton in 2019 and he pushed himself to the top-10 in two Pro Tour races in 2018. He managed to be in the top-25 in three events last winter. Noora Kivikko has been part of Visma Ski Classics since 2018, and she has been able to be in the top-20 seven times since then. Eric Storvall, the director of the team, raced actively in the Pro Tour last winter, and his best result was 45th at La Diagonela.
Niina Virtanen raced three times in Season X with her results a bit north of 20, but she won Finlandia-hiihto in 2019. Olli Tyrväinen finished 59th at La Diagonela in 2020 while the team’s Swedish recruit Eric Silfver was 53rd at Tåssåsen Criterium 64 last winter. David Sulkakoski will have his debut season in Visma Ski Classics this winter.
“The opening of the season in Orsa, Sweden, is important to us. After that, we are most likely to participate in Marcialonga, La Diagonela, Tartu Marathon, Vasaloppet and either Birkebeirrennet or Årefjellsloppet and, of course, Ylläs-Levi,” says Storvall.
