Due to the current official requirements and the measures against the spread of the Coronavirus the organizing committee of La Diagonela has decided that only races for professional cross-country skiers can be held on the occasion of La Diagonela, January 16^th 2021. The popular races will not take place.

Here is information from the La Diagonela organizing committee:

Starting permission in 2021 for elite only
Only professional athletes of the Visma Ski Classics and athletes with a maximum of 150 FIS points are allowed to start in the elite race of La Diagonela 2021 on Saturday, January 16^th 2021.

Cancellation La Diagonela 2021 popular race
On December 12^th 2020, the Swiss Confederation communicated stricter measures against the spread of the coronavirus, which will apply until January 22^nd 2021. These measures make it impossible for popular runners to take part in the races. As a result, the organising committee is forced to cancel the popular races of La Diagonela, La Pachifica, La Cuorta and La Stafetta.
The entry fees already paid by the popular runners will be automatically and completely transferred to the year 2022. We look forward to welcoming these athletes in a year's time to La Diagonela on 22 January 2022.
The organizing committee of La Diagonela thanks the registered athletes for their understanding and is confident that, thanks to strict protection concepts, it will be possible to hold exciting professional races on 14 and 16 January 2021 that are safe for everyone involved.
