Tomorrow morning at 9 am CET, I will embark on a skiing journey from Mora to Sälen and back, which means 180 kilometers of fast skiing. I will do this to test the limits of human endurance and psyche and to promote ultraskiing, which is still a new form of long distance skiing.
Of course, I have done several 24 hour world breaking record attempts and I was the former record holder of the 24 hour Nordic skiing (still the official Guinness record holder) and I'm no stranger to pushing the envelope. But I want to set an example for others to follow and end up with a new record for them to break, and this legendary course is the best possible arena to do something this crazy.
I am going to wear a Polar Vantage watch and collect some useful data to be shared with you afterwards. I will write an exclusive article about this endeavor and you will learn what it takes to go that long and that fast as my goal is to go under 10 hours.
So, stay tuned for the special article of this challenge coming on Friday!
