Lapponia Ski Week, a three-stage Ski Classics Challengers event, had its first stage today with a 60km long-distance race in freestyle technique in Finland. Get to know the winners of Stage 1.
After a long day of action on Stage 1, the Ski Classics Challengers event saw Remi Lindholm, Ski Team Kotimaailma, and Josefiina Böök, Matti Böök Oy, win the race with outstanding performances.
Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 1 – Men’s Race
In the men’s competition, stage 1, the winner was Remi Lindholm, Ski Team Kotimaailma, with a time of 3:05:28.7.
Lauri Lepistö, Ski Team Kotimaailma, finished in second place, 11.0 seconds back, followed by Miro Karppanen, Ski Team Kotimaailma, completing the podium in third position and 33.8 seconds behind the winner.

Lapponia Ski Week – Stage 1 – Women’s Race
In the women’s race, Josefiina Böök, Matti Böök Oy, with a time of 3:28:08.1, won ahead of Katariina Lonka, Isometsä Training, in second place and 47.4 seconds back.
Third place went to Kaisa Mäkäräinen, Hiihtocenter, 2:12.2 behind the winner.
