The weekend is approaching with a new Visma Ski Classics Challengers event in France. Weather forecast predicts partly cloudy sky and temperatures around -6°C for race day and with the new snow from last week the action is guaranteed.
La Savoyarde Caisse d’Épargne will take place this Sunday, with women starting at 9:30 CET and men starting at 9:45 CET. The Challengers event is a 42km long-distance ski race in skating technique that are held annually in La Feclaz, France.
With the participation of recreational skiers and Pro Tour athletes, including skiers from the French Pro Teams E-Liberty Ski Team, Team Vercors Isere and Team Nordique Crédit Agricole Franche Comté, the course is taking place in the heart of Savoie Grand Revard Plateau with a panoramic view of Mont Blanc and the largest natural lake in France, the Lake Bourget, offering outstanding snow conditions, just an hour from Geneva or Lyon airports.
