Therese Johaug was two minutes faster than Marit Bjørgen on the roller ski hill race Ragde Challenge # Opp Tryvann outside Oslo on Thursday evening.
In the men's class, Petter Eliassen won a minute ahead of Hans Christer Holund.
No one really thought that Marit Björgen could challenge Therese Johaug in an uphill race on roller skis in her comeback. The last time Björgen competed was in the Norwegian championships in 2018.
Although Johaug won by two minutes, she was impressed by Bjørgen.
"It was raw. There is nothing else to say. She has been out of the circus for two years. I think Marit performed well, says Johaug to NRK.
Björgen was also quite happy and felt that she is on the right track for the coming winter.
"I think it has gone well this autumn. I have trained some long sessions with the guys in Team Ragde and I have received positive answers but I have no idea what the level is on the women's side in long distance skiing. So I don't know how fast I have to go, she says to NRK.
Among the men, Petter Eliassen, Team Ragde Eiendom was the fastest. He won a minute ahead of Hans Christer Holund. Just under half a minute behind him followed Anders Mølmen Høst, now in Team Lyn Ski Moseteråsen.
